GUIDED MEDITATION + MINDFULNESS WORKSHOP

Join Schu Tours for an evening of guided mindfulness meditation and a conversation about the neuroscience of our city dwelling selves. Acknowledge the ways that chaotic city living may be increasing your anxiety and stress and how nature can combat these effects. Learn where and how to get your nature fix in Philadelphia and the real impacts that nature immersion can have on your health and wellbeing. Walk away with a meditation practice and a few mindfulness tools to help you cultivate a calmer existence even in the middle of Philadelphia. All ages and experience levels welcome.

Discover how your brain reacts to certain sights, sounds, and smells in the city. Practice techniques to quell the effects of chaotic city life and steer towards a calmer existence.

Exactly how much nature is enough nature? Learn how and where to seek out little bits of nature to positively effect your health on the day to day. Take cues from current scientific studies to utilize nature to improve your mental wellbeing.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

  • something to sit on : yoga mat, chair, towel, your bum
  • a beverage or snack - this is a chill event, be comfy
  • bug spray - if you use it
  • a notebook if you care to jot anything down
  • any questions you have about mindfulness and meditation

What you should know

  • this event will take place completely outdoors
  • there is NO bathroom at the park. Please pee before you come!
  • there will be other people enjoying the park during our meditation and workshop

Transportation & parking :

You're responsible for your own transportation to Penn Treaty Park. Parking in this area isn't too awful, but I alway suggest taking public transportation or a bike. Save that environment y'all.
